Winter 2025

Expanding Our Staff

We are making an effort to have our staff learn more about the basic functions of the clinic so that they can eventually take over some of these responsibilities from me (Dr. Wolf) and Cherlie. Part of this effort involves the finances of the clinic. In the past, we’ve had the registration clerk collect consultation fees and the pharmacy nurses collect the pharmacy fees. We recently hired a young woman who is trained as an accountant and she is now collecting all fees for the day, entering them in logbooks and the computer and balancing the cash revenue at the end of each day. We expect that, in the future, she will do staff payroll and perform additional accounting functions for us.

Our Community Development programs have been expanding significantly over the past few years, as we find that more and more communities are in need of educational and economic assistance from us. Our Water andSanitation Program is expanding its educational activities to new communities and we expect to start our Goat Program in another 6 communities later this year.

In order to be able to properly supervise all of these community programs, we hired a young man as the newest member of our Community Development staff. Wesney Degraff will assist Gemi and Wilton in the Water and Sanitation Program, Goat Program, Agriculture Program along with relief projects when needed.
